Gamma Kappa House Renovation Capital Campaign
Join Us in Building the Future of Gamma Kappa
We’re excited to share this important initiative with our alumni network. This year marks 54 years since our fraternity house became the cornerstone of our brotherhood, and we’re reaching out to ensure it remains a place where future generations of Theta Chi brothers can create lasting memories.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just about bricks and mortar—it’s about preserving the legacy of Gamma Kappa and ensuring that it continues to provide a strong foundation for brotherhood. The investment will modernize our house and expand living areas. Our goal is to ensure that the next generation enjoys the same, if not better, experiences that we shared during our time at Miami University.
What We’re Aiming to Accomplish
· Renovate and modernize the chapter house
· Build an addition to expand living and common spaces
· Establish a Long-Term Maintenance Fund
· Create scholarship funds
How You Can Help
This campaign is a collective effort, and we need the support of our alumni to bring this vision to life. As proud members of the Capital Campaign Steering Committee, we’re reaching out to ensure our network is engaged, informed, and involved in this once-in-a-lifetime effort. Your participation—whether through a financial contribution or by spreading the word—will make a significant impact.
Named Gift Opportunities, Donor Recognition
To make this campaign even more special, we’re offering alumni the chance to leave a lasting mark on Gamma Kappa. Named Gift Opportunities allow you to associate your contribution with specific parts of the house, including individual rooms, common areas, and more.

HOW TO GIVE:
The Gamma Kappa House Corporation is grateful to receive gifts via a variety of pathways. The primary distinction is whether the donor requires that the gift be tax-deductible or not.
Gifts given directly to the Gamma Kappa House Corporation, while not tax deductible (it is a 501c7, rather than a 501c3 entity), can be used immediately and throughout the loan and initial construction process. These gifts can be made via personal check to the house corporation treasurer, or via zelle/venmo/paypal to the house corporation directly. Check (or zelle) is preferred given the no-fee nature of those pathways.
For donors that require tax-deductibility, gifts can be given to the Foundation chapter of Theta Chi so long as they are denoted as "Gamma Kappa Fund." These funds will be held by the Foundation chapter and granted to the chapter on an as-needed basis (and are pursuant to certain IRS-regulated criteria). These gifts can be done electronically on the Foundation chapter website and can include IRAs, DAFs, securities, estates/wills/trusts, property etc...
Receipts/proof of donation will be given regardless of donation method. When deciding on donation method, please consider the following:
1) please give via the method that allows you to maximize your giving. Top-end dollar amounts are the highest priority of the house corporation
2) please consider whether or not you intend to itemize your taxes. The Standard Deduction is currently $14,600 for single filers and $29,200 for married couples. If you plan to take the Standard Deduction (and not itemize), please give directly to the house corporation as these gifts are more immediately accessible/usable
Checks to the house corporation can be addressed to:
